Sabarimala Vishukani Darsan
SABARIMALA: The Sreekovil of Lord Ayyappa temple here will be opened for Vishukani darsan at 4 am on April 15. Melsanthi Krishnadas Nampoothiri will open the nada at 4 am in the presence of Thantri Kandararu Rajeevaru for the darsan of Lord Ayyappa.

The thantri will offer ‘Vishukaineettom’ (coins) to devotees who come for darsan in front of the Sreekovil.Laksharchana, Sahasrakalasam and Kalabhabhishekam will be the special rituals to be conducted on Vishu day. As part of Laksharchana, the thantri will conduct Brahmakalasa pooja at the mandapam of the temple at 6 am, followed by a recital of mantras by a dozen vedic scholars. The ritual will conclude after Kalasabhishekam on the idol of Lord Ayyappa during Uchcha pooja.

In connection with Sahasrakalasam, Thantri Rajeevaru in the presence of Melsanthi Krishnadas Nampoothiri will conduct kalasa pooja at Sopanam on the south of the Sreekovil at 7 pm on April 14. Sahasrakalasabhishekam, marking the conclusion of the ritual, will be held during Uchcha pooja in the afternoon. As part of Kalabhabhishekam, the thantri will conduct Brahamakalasa pooja at the mandapam of the temple at 10.30 am.

The ritual will conclude with Kalabhabhishekam on the idol of Lord Ayyappa during Uchcha pooja after the procession carrying the Brahamakalasam circumambulating the Sreekovil.
