Pilgrim season concludes today 20 january 2012

Kalabhabhishekom held at Sabarimala
The Kalabhabhishekom marking the culmination of the Neyyabhishekom ritual was performed at Sabarimala Ayyappa Temple on Thursday.
Tantri Kandararu Maheswararu, assisted by Melsanthi N. Balamurali, prepared the Brahmakalasom for the Kalabhabhishekom in the forenoon.
Brahmakalasa puja
The Brahmakalasapuja was performed at the Eastern Mandapam of the Ayyappa temple.
The Brahmakalasom was taken out in a procession with the accompaniment of the Marapani and other traditional temple percussion to the sanctum sanctorum.
Other rituals
Padipuja, Udayasthamanapuja, and Pushpabhishekom were the other important rituals held at the temple.
Representative from the Pandalam Palace Hari Varma Raja supervised the rituals performed at the Sannidhanam on Thursday.
Guruti ritual
The Guruti ritual at Malikappuram Devi Temple will be held after closing the Ayyappa temple following the Athazhapuja on Friday.
The Guruti is to propitiate the cohorts (bhoothagana) of Lord Ayyappa.
The rush of devotees visiting Sabarimala from the neighbouring States, especially Tamil Nadu after the Pongal festival, continued on Thursday.
Queue upto Saramkuthi
Queue of pilgrims waiting for holy darsan at the temple extended even up to Saramkuthi path in the forenoon.
